IWA Tops Charts in fundraising for American Cancer Society’s 2010 Relay for Life

Impactful Women Association’s participation in the 2010 Relay for Life was by all accounts an overwhelming success as we achieved notable distinction as one of the top fundraising teams in the 2010 Relay for Life of Morristown, New Jersey. 

IWA Helps United Way of Passaic County “Make a Mother’s Day”

IWA celebrated Mother’s Day by paying tribute to mothers nominated by community groups.  On behalf of its members, IWA donated a spa basket filled with fabulous spa beauty products and keepsakes for our special mom! President & CEO of UWPC Yvonne Zuidema stated, “We really appreciate the involvement of Impactful Women Association in our “Make A Mother’s Day” event.  They presented such a beautiful basket that we were able to share with a mother who needed a lift this mother’s day.  We gave the basket to a woman who is living with her children in a homeless shelter, and we know that she was encouraged to know that other women were thinking of her as she goes through a difficult time in her life. Thanks for thinking of others and using your resources to make the world better for one woman on this Mother’s Day!”

About “Make a Mother’s Day”: What do you say to local moms who are working every day to pull themselves and their families up and out of economic struggles?  How do you let them know the community applauds their commitment and determination to be good mothers? You Make a Mother’s Day! That’s the name of United Way of Passaic County’s annual program that gives local employee groups the opportunity to let these hard working moms know we support them and appreciate all they are doing. Moms who were nominated by community groups received encouragement in the form of a Make a Mother’s Day gift bag.
