Message From Donalyn Bratton, IWA Membership Liaison

“Together we women can have more of an impact on our communities and helping each other’s businesses grow than we can individually.”

Donalyn is the President of Bratton Travel.  In her role as Membership Liaison for IWA, she will champion the overall execution of membership recruitment and proactively seek out ways in which to enhance IWA’s existing membership opportunities while sustaining a high level of member satisfaction throughout our IWA community. Donalyn will bring to this role her natural networking skills as well as past networking experiences to help continue to build on IWA’s firm foundation.

She has become an entrepreneur in her second career as a home based travel agent. After working with her husband in a non-profit, para-church organization, ministering to professional athletes and their wives in NJ (NY Giants, NY Yankees, NJ Devils, NJ Nets), they moved from Rockaway, NJ to Ohio for 7 years to the headquarters of this organization, Athletes in Action. There Donalyn served as the Office Manager and in conference planning and in Women’s Ministry. Helping women become all God intends for them to be has always been a passion of hers.

Upon moving back to Randolph, NJ in 2003 she worked for her son, Doug’s consulting business which ran training events for a statewide high school tobacco education and prevention program. State funding for that business dried up at about the same time her two grandchildren were born 4 months apart (different sons’ children) so her attention focused on helping provide child care.

Donalyn and her husband, Dave, love to travel and when the opportunity came to open a home based travel business it seemed the right opportunity at the right time. She has just completed her 2 year accreditation with CLIA—Cruise Line International Association. Her website is part of a huge consortium filled with special cruise and tour deals and regular flight, hotel and car bookings. www.BrattonTravel.com

She  is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. She just finished up a 20 month stint as Volunteer Interim Worship Director at Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ.  For many years she was a speaker and soloist for Stonecroft Ministries at Women’s luncheons and dinner meetings throughout the Mid-Atlantic States as well as in the Midwest when they lived in Ohio.

Impactful Women Association is a great opportunity for Donalyn to combine her natural networking skills along with her passion for helping women make an impact in their spheres of influence.
